I sometimes forget how strong it is when you're not used to the smell if them, I've had some funny looks in the shops if I've been there after handling them..

Unless somthings wrong with it ,it shouldn't be smelling only the hobs really smell a bit when there in season (there stones have dropped ) ,if you keep them clean they tend no to smell so if it has been kept in dirty conditions give it a shampoo and while your doing it give it a real good going over and see if you can see anything

like some one said if its a hob they do smell a lot more now there balls have dropped ,if its a jill the smell should not be to bad , or is that just ive had ferrets to long

what did you expect them to smell of mate roses male feerets smell the worst espically at this time of the year :sick: just keep there hutch and toilet area clean and they wont smell half as bad
