North Wales Hunter 6
Hi all, Just wanted to let you all know after twidiling my thumbs all day I decided to sort my nets out and find a strap for my new ferret box and loads of other little jobs and after that I decided to go and ask another local farmer for some rabbit and fox permission, I do know the farmer as I know most of the farmers of the village that I live in, so I asked and thus I got the permission, and the farmer looked happy too! So after that great result ive decided to go up tomorow to see if theres anything about. Seen as im not working at the moment and still waiting for someone to call me back about a possible underkeeper job on my local estate. Ill will do a update after I get back tomorrow. Sorry for wondering off topic a little! ATB Jake Edited February 28, 2011 by North Wales Hunter Quote Link to post

North Wales Hunter 6
Right guys after all of that, I got up in the morning got up got everything ready and as I was leaving my ex-boss called and asked if I could help with some lambing and so I put the ferrets back and ended up helping him out for the entire day! But I dont mind ive worked for him for ^ years and so I dont mind doing the odd days helping him out because I always borrow his toys! HEHEH I think ill go see if he wants help tomorrow if he doesnt ill go ferreting! Oh and by the way I went and saw another farmer to see if he wants some more pest control seen as I do it for free so he said he'll get back to me as soon as he see's me! @ Darbo No mate im saving up to buy some. Although my ferrets dont seem to be intrested in rabbits they just seem to like goin down holes because once ive got a rabbit I show it to both of them and they dont even bat a eyelid at it! @Jonansuki Hi mate he still hasnt rang me its quite frustrating! im just trying to get hold of him every couple of days. @ Adam s not sure mate I just go there and ferret, he tells me where the boundries are and I dont go past them! @ Fichet incase I dont catch anything and im out all day, and thus I dont want to starve my little workers! @ Ideation CHECK! And for the ferret food as above mate! ATB Jake Quote Link to post
darbo 4,774
keep on ringing about the job nothing better to earning money and learning a profession. with yours keepering it would be a profession and maybe a lifestyle its not a 9-5 job. you seem like a level headed lad. so do your research on obedience training/entering your dog when old enough to quarry.general upkeep /feeding and conditioning of your dog. be patient/sensible and dont rush things. one step at a time.youve got plenty of time to research all this. before you are ready for your pup. good luck. Ye darbo thanks as they say "Gamekeeping is a lifestyle choice not a job" Ye im making sure I take it as slow as possible! I have been offered a dog from South Wales Its Johnny Boy 68 Bitch is having puppys and he has offered me one of the pups once he and his friends have picked what they want out of the litter, and he also said he will bring it up to me from South Wales for me (I am of course re-embersing him for his trouble) which is very genirous! And some lovey people are sending me some Lurcher training DVDs which is also very genirous! ATB Thanks Jake Quote Link to post
