The windows programme i have on here ( Vista ) is refusing to start , no matter what i do it wont work . Luckily i have Ubuntu on here as well that i use mainly but windows has alot of old pictures on . Im after a `caddy` if anyone has one i can borrow so i can plug in the HDD and just take the files i need off it , then just do a clean install . Im also after a copy of Windows 7 if anyone has a working copy i could borrow . It would be greatly appreciated , thanks , Buster . Quote Link to post Share on other sites

If you have ubuntu then just mount the windows partition and copy the files off. In terminal sudo apt-get install ntfs-config Go to System then Administration and open ntfs-config and select a mount point (media/vista will do). you should now be able to access the files on the vista partition and copy them to a disk or a dongle.
