I'd go for lots of thin light weight layers as sometimes there is a temp change and you can be roasting when your on the move. A big heavy jacket and trousers are no use.... I thought picker ups just sat in their trucks when its cold or wet :whistling: ......you see my advice is for beaters only as the pickers up advice would be hat, scarf,gloves, jacket, with overcoat and waistcoat with tweed jacket on top. That is exactly the type of keeper I am Another beaters essential is chocolate or cigarettes keepers are easily bribed with either.
