theferreter 311 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Share Posted February 26, 2011 went for a bit of ferreting this morning me and my wee cousin and two jills we got till the permission at 8 0 clock and got started on the first sett this usallys holds a few rabbits anyway ferrets in and nothing for about ten minutes then bang first rabbit hits the net then it went quite again for about five then a rumble and number two in the net it was starting to look like a promising day we gave the ferrets another run round the sett but nothing else at home so we lifted the nets and moved on to are next sett which is massive and always holds a few rabbits so nets down all 70 of them ferrets in then the rumbling started bang number 3 in the bag shortly followed by number 4 then nothing for about 20 minutes so out with the bleeper got a mark at 3ft ferret dug to a rabbit retrieved then bang another rabbit hits the net with the silver jill right up its hole my wee poley jill hadent showed herself so out with the bleeper again got another mark at 4ft dug to her and the rabbit number 7 in the bag the ferrets bolted another 3 from this sett and id to dig to another at 3ft then we decided to move on done 1 more sett before home we got 3 clean bolters and how did you guess the last one the spade was out again not to bad but it was only 2ft so the day ended with 15 good healthy rabbits and no young Quote Link to post
