lampingboy 214
Hi all hows it going ? ,went on my first shotty outing on thursday. Derboy picked me up at 7:15am and made our way to one of his great permissions. When we got there ,we had a chat with the farmer and his son and he said he wanted some ferals cleared from his feed store/workshop we had a look and i managed to drop on with my air arms s410k .22 and we left them for later on. We then drove to the chosen field and setup the hide and unloaded all the gear. After a quick safety talk and being shown some techniques we settled down and got ready for the birds. Derboy was shooting his winchester o/u and he was kind enough to let me use his Beretta 12g AL319 ?? semi and we were both firing eley 32g's 6 1/2's. It was a really quite day (by DERBOYS standards) as a local farm must have already planted causing alot of the birds to travel away. Derboy managed to get a few crows and i managed to pick off a jackdaw, the day went on and the tally gradually up to a total of 8 crows one jackdaw a pigeon and a magpie. He then kindly set out 4 water filled milk cartons at rougly 100yards for me to have a go at using the remington 700 .204 and i managed to hit 4 out of 4 and im now feeling really confident with the gun and well aware of the damage it can inflict . After loading back up and clearing ALL of out rubbish away went back in to the farmyard and had another crack at the ferals, i managed to get another 2 and Derboy has one using the s410. It was a seriously good day in my books and i learned ALOT about shotguns ,the safety of them and shooting technique and now cant wait to get my forms in and get out again. Im also planning on having a go at clays as it will hopefully help me no end in technique and shouldering the gun. heres a pic of me with the Beretta semi(i really really want one lol) and decoys in the background. Thanks Derboy for another GREAT day and as i say,ive learned no end! cant wait to get out again mate hope you all enjoyed the read lads Brad. Quote Link to post

matt_hooks 188
Lampingboy, the law says that the maximum magazine capacity for a pump or semi is two cartridges. Obviously you can have two in the mag and one in the chamber, so an overall capacity of three cartridges. 1 Quote Link to post
