Air stripper

Hi lads was looking at getting an airstripper for my gun but was told a silencer would do the same job. Is this true?

No an air stripper is designed to make the gun more accurate, a silencer/moderator is designed to make it quieter. A stripper is designed to reduce turbulence behind the pellet in the barrel so it leaves the barrel more cleanly! A silencer may improve accuracy as a side effect of supressing the noise but a strippers primary function is to improve accuracy!

I know that silencers are too supress noise but was wondering if they got rid of the air as well as an air stripper or just a bit.

Just a bit I think, the air stripper is designed to move lots of air as that is it's job!
