I'll put up some pictures of my pair of old Winchester 12 guage blunderbuses later, but for now I'll describe them. They are both 20-year vintage Model 1200 pumps, and lets just say I've got my money's worth out of them. The recoil pad of the smoothbore is held on with duct tape, and the sight rail with masking tape. The stock and forend woodwork are nicked and weather-beaten, but the bore is as shiny as new, and when the occasion calls for it I can loose off well aimed shots as fast as any autoloader. This one doubles as my home-defence weapon, so she bears an under-barrel tac-light whose momentary switch is, you guessed it, duct-taped to the forend. Sometimes I think I ought to erect a shrine to worship the God of Duct Tape.

 

The other twin is a Winchester 1200 scattergun converted into a slug gun with an after-market rifled barrel, and fitted with a bargain-basement Bushnell scope. On account of its original wafer-thin recoil pad, this beast kicks like a demented rhinoceros, and makes me wish I had more meat on my shoulders. One of these days I'll get around to re-stocking both of these beauties with a synthetic camo stocks that have decent recoil pads, but one of these days ain't here yet har har.
