my all time favourite boxer was a little fellow called barry mcguigan cracking fighter he reminded me of a little terrier he never backed up brilliant to watch

Think Jimmy Mcdonell might believe otherwise ;) ....wee Barry was great when things were going his way....but he lost composure and technique whenever his back was against the wall...wouldnt question his heart but certainly panicked whenever under severe pressure......his skin colour and nationality had a lot to do with his success and popularity in America.Great fights with Pedroza and Cabrerra though.

Funny this thread should come up again, i just been looking through a few old fights.

Remember Ray 'boom boom' Mancini ? How about this for a first round.

Brilliant :good:

I remember a brilliant domestic fight a few years ago was the rematch between Patrick Mullings and Simon Ramoni. They knocked f*ck out of each other and both hit the deck before Paddy Mullings was pulled out in between rounds with broken ribs. Really was a right tear up.

realised just how hard the game is when he met Honeyghan..

Nice to see Lloyds name mentioned, he was a very good agressive fighter, I liked him a lot....its a shame his hands were too weak to cope.

Does anyone know if this is what eneded his career?
