Rake aboot 4,936
Some may have gathered that I`ve been slightly out of action lately I had a sore shoulder which was a long standing problem, so my works medicare paid for me to have an MRI scan on it. The issue with the shoulder turned out to be something that they could not treat,, but as an aside ,,they found a 2" tumor, deep inside one of my muscles round the back of my armpit ! b*****d. Anyway, While shooting a few weeks ago, I fell and badly sprained my ankle (hospital the lot) ,so my surgeon fitted me in and I got the tumor removed whilst laid up with a gammy ankle. After a sore 2 weeks recovering, I started to get back out with the three ton daystate (feels like that just now anyway)as my write up showed, This morning, my consultant put a spring in my step by telling me that the tumor was benign and ,thats it !! happy days. Took 3 or 4 minutes to scrape me off the ceiling I can tell you,, It all came flooding out in relief. Scary shit like. So I`m having a wee whisky tonight,,, and am off ferreting all day tomorrow with Kittlerox Night all !! A happy Rake Aboot 2 Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Bloody hell, mate, that must've been one hell of a relief for you!! I've a long term shoulder problem that's not even in my shoulder, I've a trapped nerve bundle between my 2nd and 3rd vertibras (spelling.. ) that makes it feel like I've been stabbed through the back when I put my head in a certain position.... Funny how the body works sometimes Enjoy your whisky and your day out tommorow Cheers. Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Jesus Rake Aboot lad that was a bloody close call. But I'm so pleased to hear you are going to be well. A dram? I'd be glugging the whole bottle with news like that. Si I'm so sorry your father John was not so fortunate. God rest his dear soul. My Jo had a cancer tumour removed with half of her left Kidney the year before last and we've been living with watching and waiting ever since for the day when she is pronounced fully cured and recovered. Last week I attended the funeral of a beautiful woman and old girlfriend of mine who died after breast cancer had robbed her of her physical beauty but not her amazing spirit. Life is so bloody precious. Live it well every day. God bless you all. Simon Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
Ey up Thanks for all the comments blokes. I can only sympathise with all the people who`s results go the wrong way. I imagine the b*****d desease has probably affected us all at some point. I feel very lucky to have got off this time. Back to doing what I do best.. Living life as fully as I can, ATB Quote Link to post
