judge2010 196
I used to be a wandering bricklayer, been in some shitty places abroad and over here, the saddest, drug infested place ive ever worked was Bury, the place was depressing. Somebody mentioned Rotherham/Donny,youv'e led a sheltered life mate if you think these qualify,i live in one and work in the other, apart from the immigrants in Roth and a few areas in Donny its paradise compared to most of the other places mentioned, some mates worked in Glasgow a few years back, they couldnt leave the hotel at night,5 murders in the area in the week they were there. i was in rotherham other day sorting the mot out on a van and the amount of boozers closed down its shocking! Boothy is to blame putting the rent up at RUFC.
Attack Fell Terrier 864
I worked in Stoke and I've never been so depressed in all my life. Whilst I've been to rougher places It's like a dark cloud hangs over that place and I just wanted to end it all knowing I had to go back there the next day :headshot:: lol. Chepstow was full of Jeremy Kyle guests as well, proper scruffs down there. Alum Rock is just a horrible place as well.
gaz 284
scotland Well dont come back then .....we've sent you home before to think again once already......... lab they did go home to think again...................................................................................................................................then came back and kicked our arses Lets not get bogged down in history eh mate!!!......... Especially when your grasp of history is gleaned from watching 'Braveheart' a few dozen times... we won end of  Kin braveheart proper factual that is They only thing correct about that film is that the Irish are mad It's my island It wasn't even the Irish who refused to fight the Scots it was the Welsh, but they used the Irish because they're better known in America... We get no fecking credit.. No Malt, the Welsh bowmen very much won the Battle of Falkirk for longshanks and the english, what did happen on route to Falkirk was outbreaks of Squabbling and even in some cases fighting between the welsh and the english infantry due to the Scots scortched earth policy thus denying longshanks large marching army its vital food and provisions leading to all the bitching from the welsh...In a matter a fact the welsh often whored its fighting men out to help the english fight their medieval battles, there was even a large contingent at Agincourt, see this is why the Scots fought the wars of independence with them...we werent too keen on being longshanks subjects or for a better word...his "bitch"

Attack Fell Terrier 864
I'd like to know more about Longshanks, I know he was meant to of been one of our most successful Rulers, but don't know much else about him.

Arguably, the only reason that Scotland was never fully conquered by Longshanks is that he couldn't afford to mount a proper war against Scotland after skinting himself during his campaigns against the Welsh. When he conquered Wales, he done it with armies who were over 50% composed of 'bought' Welshmen who were opposed to the ones who were leading the Welsh efforts against the English. I'm not suggesting that the events of Braveheart actually took place with the Welsh in place of the Irish, but there were occasions where the Welsh just simply refused to fight alongside the English. As for being 'bitches', well it's true that many elements within Wales were led by the promise of wealth and power in return for loyalty to the English crown, and this is ultimately what led to Longshanks' outright victory over Wales, but the same can be said for many Scottish nobles... Boysie 12
Personally I'd say the midlands, particlarly the west midlands. Looks like a concrete shanty town, buildings aren't even half knocked down when a new block of flats is built on top.
