pianoman 3,587
Hi Keymac! WEIHRAUCH HW80 Standard rifle FAC .22. Amazing power and incredible accuracy from the best break-barrel spring air rifle on the planet. Don't think so? You haven't shot with THIS HW80! WEIHRAUCH HW80K FAC .22 carbine. As above. I restored this rifle to pristine condition and it's a devastating rat, squirrel and rabbit killer. WEIHRAUCH HW77 .22 Standard rifle. The finest all-round spring underlever air rifle there is. As accurate and easy to shoot as a .177 rifle. HW97 is a slightly modified and reshaped HW77. I love her to bits. AIR ARMS TX200HC. .177. My All-Weather, all purpose fur and feather hunter carbine and amazingly accurate wih Air Arms field pellets to astonishing ranges. AIR ARMS TX200 .22 rifle. Good, solid and reliable hunter. It seems to really excell against feather. I've bagged no end of crows and pidgeons with this rifle. As for calibre. Both .22 and .177 are as accurate as eachother. It's YOU the shooter that makes the shot count in the right place, regardless of action type or calibre of pellet. ATB Simon Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Hi mate, From what I've personally owned and shot or seen being shot from friends I would recommend the following rifles in any calibre. My favourite calibre is .22 but I also own .177 and rate them both as good as each other with both calibres having pro's and con's in certain situations. Accuracy wise it's the shooter that makes the pellet either hit or miss in any calibre as a modern rifle either spring or air charged will out shoot it's owner. Using one particular calibre to help minimise gun to target line misses at night when range estimation is difficult is a good option but not written in stone as a must, just a aid but don't be fooled and forget about windage. These rifles are very very good BSA r10 Weihrauch HW100 KT and T BSA Ultra - Tench tuned and regged. Air Arms S410 and the new Super lite. HW97K / KT HW95K Air Arms Pro Sport Ones that I've heard good things about are Any Daystate BSA Super10. Air Arms S200. HW77K HW90K Air Arms TX200 / HC One that I'm seriously thinking about just lately after reading great reviews on it is a Theoben Rapid mark 2 or SType. I need to get back on my feet though first in regards to money after my marriage break up. Nearly there now though. Si Edited February 24, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
lampingboy 204
air arms s410 carbine very good accuracy. but as said ,any of thewell branded pcp's will out shoot their owner,o and dont put springers out of the equation Quote Link to post
beddylurcher 70
if your after a springer i would get ether a pro sport, hw 77 or 97, or tx200 hc, as for pre charged it would be s410 s200 s510, bsa s10 bb, r10 bsa ultra, or hw 100. i had 22 for years and got my first 177 about 6 moths ago and woulnt go back to 22, but i would love to have a 2.0. atb andy.
