Tyla 3,179
I had a nice day out yesterday with Blackstaff and his son Bill. We did two different bits of ground and ended up with 17 rabbits, 2 cans of stella and a bottle of red wine! The latter were from a greatful landowner! We were mostly bolting into long nets but little Bill did his first solo bury using just a ferret and Pearl, added another 2 bunnies to the bag. Well done Bill! Had a slightly sketchy moment when a woman neighbour turned up saying she "worked in animal welfare and what were we doing?" Luckily both Blackstaff and I are gifted PR experts, we explained how it worked and offered to let them watch. They watched one bolt, had a chat and ended up buying the rabbit, watching it be skinned and asking for recipes! Howzat!!! ... anti to rabbit eater in 15 minutes! It was a good day but will probably be our last serious ferreting day, rabbits are thin on the ground and we dont want to interfere with breeding this year especially as i have a pup to bring on next season! Thanks Mrs Blackstaff for the sandwiches! No pictures today as we both forget cameras. 1 Quote Link to post

' Oh that would be lovely, thank you ' was her reply, brilliant One of my bloody hobs running around like a looon all afternoon  , could of killed the little f*ker Mrs B said she always likes to put a ' spare ' sandwich in, just incase As for forgetting the cameras, i didn't actually forget mine, i sold it  Good news is after dropping Tyla home i went home to Brighton, grabbed a bite to eat then drove just over 2 hrs to go and collect my new camera Left there at 12, then drove the same back, to say i was tired is an understatement !!
