pianoman 3,587
Just watching the news and some nutter has opened fire on a school with an airgun, Auchinleck Academy, in Scotland. BBC News says 19 people and pupils injured. Sky news says it's 6. Whatever the figure, some worthless cretin from the gutter has just kicked off the clarion call to have air "weapons" banned as trauma counsellors and God knows who else console the injured and their families, while a police swat team is searching the area for the culprit. Doubtless this story will gather momentum and WE will all be viewed with renewed suspicious opinion. Mark my words. Before this decade is out, our sport will be restricted and licenced to chuff. As for this culprit...Personally, in the current climate of cuts, I'd chop his bloody hands off and throw him to his victims families. And tell them to do what they like. Save no end of money and paperwork. Still. A child killer got killed by an inmate in a secure prison today so, there is a little 'natural justice' in the world. Simon Quote Link to post
Squirrel Shooter 5
This is all we need! I hope the cretinous fool is stupid enough to resist arrest, so that the numerous police on his tail are forced to send a few 9mm HPs in his direction! I don't care what the circumstances were that provoked them to do this, taking a weapon of any kind and going on a shooting spree is never the answer. This could well be the nail in the coffin for our sport... Quote Link to post

And they are giving the foreign pistol shooter free passage to bring their handguns into England to shoot for the Olympic's Sorry but thats just fooking twisted IMHO 1 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Does anyone here remember a chap called Barry Dagger? He was Britain's 3 times Gold Medal winning pistol shot among other shooting events. His achievements and those of our best competetive shooters are largely unknown thanks to the almost Medieval fear and ignorance that pervades this nation on the subject of firearms and the consequent reluctance by the BBC to broadcast shooting events. They'd rather show silly buggers running in circles! 2 Quote Link to post
