lurcherterrierferret 2
Can't see why not really, it's their natural instinct, one of mine was from working stock, the other was a pet and both proving to be good workers - pet one took a bit more getting down the holes to start with he just kept turning around but just had to keep putting him back in and he soon learnt. Rake aboot 4,936
I have three rescue ferrets, all obtained last year, All have turned out great ferrets, Two are good workers, one is superb and will be bred from, but even the one that does not work is a great wee thing. Go for it mate,, you`ll have fun with them regardless Quote Link to post

shamus 36
i took one that our local rescue had, a scrawny ,thin little jill. She has turned into a great worker, mad keen and sticks till they move or are dead. Quote Link to post
benji benji 60
my local ferret rescue wants 60 for gills and 45 for dogs you can nearlly buy a full set up for that Quote Link to post
lee-kinsman 34
I think it's a great idea re-homing ferrets and with the right approach I think all ferrets will work. I phoned a ferret rescue place up a month ago looking for a few to bring to the team and they wanted £45 quid for jills and £40 for hobs. I know the have to cover costs but flippin eck. Anyway, hope you get sorted with one. Quote Link to post
joe14 98
The reason they charge that much is because thats how much vets charge rescues to neuter them so they need to cover costs. Quote Link to post
Ferret mad Dave 65
The one round me wants 25 per ferret didnt think that was to bad considering they are neuterd and helps with all the other one too Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
The one round me wants 25 per ferret didnt think that was to bad considering they are neuterd and helps with all the other one too thats a good price for a neutered ferret dont think you will get any better than that price wise Quote Link to post
nellie123 4
had e few over the past ,all have made decent workers, most have been biters when i got them, but they all tamed in time[except 1] got them from a guy in wakefield £ 10 each [not neutered] don,t know if he's still going though p.s. my mate trapped one last summer, half starved skinny little thing, i kept it and it's a cracking worker to rat and rabbit a.t.b. nellie Quote Link to post
