Great idea, there is litter strewn all over the sides of the dual carriage ways round here Lots of old folk need houses cleaned, painted and gardens tidied.   We could have gangs of say a dozen u

when i was unemployed i went shop-lifting 4 days a week :laugh:

too many long term unemployed, build workhouses similar to those like they had during the victorian era, while they are on the dole they have to work 4days a week doing menial work until they find a job, 1day off for jobseeking or training courses. be good for the export or basic goods, food processing etc

We could have gangs of say a dozen unemployed being organised by an ex-army person, if any of the gang are to lazy to get there arses out of bed then benefits can be deducted say by 1/5 each day.

You could have someone on incapacity driving the mini bus from job to job.

We need to shame some into playing a part in society and not just taking all the time.

if people have been claiming jobseekers for over 6months do you think they should be made to do work in the community i.e. litter picking,painting, cutting the grass etc? I think it would be a good idea. :thumbs:

But the argument would be, you'd be putting folk who do those jobs out of a job. I would have them in a big room checking mps accounts, going over expense receipts, etc etc....

no i think they should reintroduce slavery for the things you just mentioned :thumbs:

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

i do feel sorry for people who really try hard to look for work but keep getting rejected. I was unemployed for a couple of weeks but go work shop-fitting 4nights a week and get the odd day plastering.

Nobody has the job of doing what I just mentioned and an ex soldier would find a job waiting when he left the army.

dont know about your area mate but the people who do thoses jobs could do with a hand, not saying they dont work hard enough just saying theres that much to do. For the people on the dole that impress maybe could lead to full time employment.
