Animal rights.

gross footage,to think animals have to die in this much pain is awful.wi;; anyone stop this,no way its what happens in other countrys. :censored: :censored: :censored:

Just because there is 1 video of it doesn't mean its the normal way. I remember being told that they keep them calm as if they get stressed the adrenaline in the muscles makes them taste bad.

It's the same with hunting 99.9% of hunters make sure things dies quickly and humanely but there is always the rare case of someone finding it funny to torture the fox they shot and injured etc. I knew a guy that got sacked from an abattoir for doing a rocky on live sheep. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

When I was in China about four years ago. I saw a cage which was a solid mass of alsation sized dogs piled on top of each other, outside a restaurant. It was a hot day and the cage was in full sun.

The dogs were being taken one by one out of the cage, slaughtered and butchered.

I traveled Vietnam on another trip and was told that it was not uncommon when lads have a party they hang a dog upside down and spend an hour beating it to death.

Then butcher and cook it, they apparently believe the process puts adrenaline in the food and so gives the eater energy and strength.

There is unlimited cruelty out in that part of the world, they have no connection with other species and have no idea that they can feel pain and experience fear.

The animal being skinned alive is a racoon dog, at a chinese fur farm. It is from a 'secret undercover' video made by PETA. As has already been said, there is a theory that animal rights 'activists' paid the worker to skin the animal alive, to make a more shocking video. I know that if i was trying to skin an animal with canine teeth like that, I would sure as hell make sure it was dead, mostly so it didn't wake up and bite me. The full video can be seen here; http://features.peta.org/ChineseFurFarms/.

HAD TO STOP WHATCHING IT WHEN THE DOG WAS BEING SKINED A LIVE......f****n SICK

same as, i thought i was tougher than that but bottled it.

I don't think it's a case of being tough or of bottling it, Gem. Your need to stop watching was governed by human compassion, and that's a quality of every good hunter, imo.

moderators any chance of this being pinned for a bit?

you cant help but think they must get some pleasure out of killing in these way's because i really cant see what other reason there is, but i think its animal welfare we should be supporting not animal rights

FFS will you lot listen to yourselves.

If nothing else we should have learnt from recent history not to judge people on issues we know f**k all about.

And your commenting on a video filmed by PETA, an organisation run by corrupt psycotic liars. These people are the uppermost deranged Antis, not just bunny huggers I mean proper window licking, child abusing, self harming lunatics.

Never heard the saying 'believe half of what you see and none of what you hear'.

In Asia dogs are farmed like cattle. They are different to the dogs we keep. I am sure that dog being skinned if the same one turned out to be a set up by Animal Aid and they paid for it to be done. Nearly all the animal rights groups are registered as businesses not charities because thats all they are. I have not watched the video as I am a bit soft.

While living in Asia I ate dog on a number of occasions and knew the person doing the slaughtering and they were more respectful while doing it than I imagine they are in many slaughterhouses in this country. Given the choice I would have avoided eating dog however it would have been the end of my job had I disrespected my boss by not eating the food he offered me.

ive no intention of trying it but out of morbid curiousity what does it taste like?

Fattyness and texture of lamb. Not much flavor but a cross between pork and lamb but the lamby taste is very slight.

ive eaten croc, kangaroo, baracuda, ostrich and all edible native game. ive always wanted to go to a japanese snake bar as well, cant entirely rule out trying horse either

dog, cat and rat and primate are the only things i have on my will not ever eat list.

tasted cat in africa, its like chicken mixed with lamb. It wasna't very nice though chucked it for the local strays.
