Malt 379
Coursing dogs being lost (or f****d as you so politely put it) because of adding bull blood to the mix, the coursing lads are not adding the blood or even using the off spring of such matings, they are still line breeding there coursing dogs same as they have done for generations so I dont quite get how you say coursing dogs are being lost to bull blood. That's what I was trying to say. Quote Link to post

baw 4,360
Jesus suffering..... Honestly, the mind boggles. No one forces anyone to buy a certain breed of dog, no one as far as I am aware, forces anyone to breed a certain type of dog. Adding bull to certain breeds isn't going to end the coursing dog as we know it. This place is full of drama queens..... 3 Quote Link to post

jezza 126
its not just bull crosses but terrier blood has been added for years, this was added to racing whippets years ago to obviously improve the dogs..... my point is that a lot of lurchers have small amounts of bull terrier that arent visually distinguishable, maybe your noticing more bull terrier crosses as people are adding more bull terrier blood so your noticing it more.
