hi, i had a conversation with an old fellow round my way, he said he used to catch finches, tits etc by putting sticky on branches, i wondred has any 1 had experiences of this, he said theres a traveller who lives in 1 of the villages outside where i live who buys them to, i also read that people buy live rabbits like greyhound owners

its against the law to trap, sell, or buy traped finches :thumbs:

He may be a kid, but he's been on here 10 month so he should know we're all c**ts by now, and he does have a habit of asking some pretty daft q's without engaging his brain first, he's got to learn somewhere, and a bit of gentle ribbing never hurt anyone. Just naive thats all. No harm meant kiddo! But yer the trapping and sale/release of most live wild animals is heavily regulated or illegal, so so you know.

Why only last year I trapped a female golden eagle, I kept it in the trap and used it to call males in, got 3 in total. I then raided it's nest and sold the 4 eggs to bird dealers who incubated and successfully hatched them under parakeets. I made 1500 an egg..... The adult birds I sold for 3 grand a bird.... Now, if carslberg made posts to entice antis, they'd probably be the best posts in the world....
