plummers at a good price

Recommended Posts

I got my plummer pup for 100 quid. He is 7m, has a white arse and is black between the withers so don't think any of the clubs'd want us!

I don't really understand the fuss about plummer politics, means nothing to me and doesn't affect me or the dog.

I don't really understand the fancy names either. Mine is just called Alfred.

Mind you (and i am a novice here, so be nice), when people moan about some plummer owners having fancy pedigree names for their dogs, it does remind me about reading about 'this line' and 'that strain' and 'bred by so and so', that so many lurchers/bullxs owners talk about on the threads day in day out. Isn't that sort of the same thing as a pedigree name? Just an observation.

By the way, I'm not trying to have a dig at owners of lurchers/bullxs, so please don't go nuts.

There lies the main problem of owning plummer terrier's,they are overpriced by nearly all the breeder's unless they are poorly marked, this stops a lot of decent working lads from owning them, and yet these are the same lads that would be out seriously testing them to their full potential, cleanspade, considering you comment on all the major plummer sites you do nothing to improve the image of these little dogs, they are more than capable of regular earthwork, you can only comment on your own experiences with your own dogs but there are plenty of lads that do have the time to work them and do dig to them regular, each time you make your statement as to them not being a digging dog you put off a lot of potential plummer owner's that might just fully test them, when you were young and keen I'm sure you worked your terrier's most day's,working commitments limit a lot of older lads to what time they have in the field, but these younger potential owner's will give them a lot of time and work, which in turn will help raise the digging profile of these dogs,I encourage all plummer owner's to get out and test them to their potential, they might just surprise you, atb, wirralman

If you pay £500 for a plummer terrier and it does want you want it to its money well spent! i know people who spent fortunes of terriers and some who spent pennies i think it depends on the person you are and how you feel about a particular breed, some of my friends have spent £600+ on borders crazy but they love them and wouldnt have [NO TEXT TALK] say a bad word against them also i think it depends alot of the location of the seller some dogs are more common in places then others, depends what you like but this bloke is 100% in it for the do unless he is genuine and did pay that much and is trying to get some money back because i pay £450 for my bitch and she is well worth itpost-41157-0-25046900-1301568364_thumb.jpg

my opinion is based on my own plummers. thats true. and i like my plummers and would recomend one for pest control bushing and some will do foxes below ground  but for anyone considering serious earthwork i would say go get a dog from generations of well worked dogs. be thet plummer fell patt or whatever. the main thing for a young ad is to get a well bred dog that is bred right and off a few generations of dogs that do the job. the result is less disilusioned lads and less terriers ruined due to a bad choice. everyones a winner.

ps i ony regularily go on one plummer site
