Simoman 110
Deffinately real, i had my friends round for brunch yesterday and we were discussing this and they assured me its true, and if anyone knows it would be the wolfman, El Chupacabra and the agent Fox Mulder
andyfr1968 772
Watch the whole film The first bit with the chavs and dead-heads being interviewed is rather misleading..... I found it interesting once it got going.
Ideation 8,216
If you watch it all the way through. . . . . could be a major problem for retrieveing foxes with dogs.
lamaha 7
For me the jury is out, but as you have said it has implications with pest control of foxes on many levels. One point of note is this was drawn to my attention by a very well respected urban fox controller, so if he is worried?

So the country has never been under threat from rabies before? Have you even watched it?
Boysie 12
It's fake, but like the fella says it's meant to draw the publics attention towards urban foxes.

Lost Generation 93
Part of the job of central and local governemnt is to prepare and have contingency plans for a huge range of potential emergencies including outbreaks of rabies. Rabies has been here before and has been eliminated but it is still found in France not far across the channel hence quarantine, and more recently innoculation and pet passports. Occasional cases crop up in quarantine and there is probably a low level of rabies in British bats - certainly the last death in the UK was of someone who got bitten when handling bats. Remember Foot and Mouth? Well, there are long-standing plans to combat outbreaks of rabies through culling of foxes and other animals within defined perimeters of the outbreak. There's absolutely no need to vaccinate everyone against rabies in the event of an outbreak, rabies is endemic in many countries including France and Germany who do not vaccinate whole populations. The only people who need vaccination are those who handle possibly infected animals and those who have been bitten. Rabies vaccine is freely available and not hugely expensive, especially given NHS bulk-purchase discounts. Lastly, if there was an outbreak of rabies here you would see a huge operation swing into place to eliminate it not to try and supress news of it like some stupid X-Files fantasy. That video just makes a paranoid fantasy/urban myth sound more plausible than it really is.
del-gue 0
Of course its a hoax!! Take a good look at the film... The expert James Moulder, a guy in film about foxes called Moulder...That would be Fox Moulder, then?? He was classed as a Mammalogist, except it was spelt mammologist, which is wrong. Not good for someone with a BA. But the clincher is the other expert Lyndsay Knight. Google him, he is a film maker and you can find that film on his website with the words "hoax documentary" next to it. Some people believe anything...
