oldmantanner 4
I am going to be growing almost everything I can get my hands on but I do like to do a lot of herbs as well. I try and grow anything that will store well for the winter as well as anything that I can preserve

fishfish 17
i have 2 allotments and a huge garden here,i work a 4 year rotation ,i have found that the allotments being a mile from home the stuff that needs regular picking/attention suffers a little,so this year i shall be growing the low maintenance stuff at the allotments, the lagumes will be grown at home in the garden as will the carrots s i find they soon get swamped in weeds!once the lagumes are out i shal plant winter greens in their place, curly kale is a fave as you just pick what you want and the stuff keeps growing. i have been fortunate this year as i have been given a greenhouse,so toms peppers and cucumbers are in order! and maybe a cuple of naga chillies.i am planning a raised bed in the front garden for leaf salad, rocket and mixed cut and come again stuff. darbo 4,776
as far as i know the carrot fly does not go above 18 inches. hence i grow my carrots in bins. holes drilled for drainage. had some very good crops this way.
