baw 4,360
How do you lads think your current teams would do in the premier league?? Would you want them to play in the premiership?? And how do you think english fans would be treated on away days in glasgow? All serious questions lads! Hard to say mate, Celtic haven't played anyone with quality, closest has been rangers and you seen how poor they were the day. I think if we were given the money you lot have, both clubs would hold there own. Both Celtic and rangers have a fantastic fan base and considering that is basically where we generate our wealth from, we do not too bad. As for trouble, rangers seem to attract an element of idiots whereas Celtic self police themselves better. As for away fans coming to Glasgow, our police manage to control OF games without any trouble, I think your lot would be safe up here. I don't think the Manchester riots would have happened if it was in Glasgow. In 2003, Celtic reached the UEFA Cup Final, where they lost 3-2 to FC Porto. An estimated ,000 Celtic supporters travelled to Seville for the occasion.[3][4][5] Celtic fans received awards from UEFA and FIFA for their behaviour at the match.[3][6][7][8] In April 2003 the club was estimated to have a fan base of nine million people, including Think our behaviour speaks for its self. 9 million eh, wish they'd all donate a fiver a month each lol. Celtics fans are the best in the world, thats a FACT Stop beating about the bush. They are a bunch of dirty cheating b*****ds and we are the creme da la creme. PMSL...... baw 4,360
Good honest answer there mate! The thing that i would worry about tho is the rest of the teams up there id imagine the trip to ibrox and parkhead for them is the highlight of the season and it wouldnt be fair on their fans? One thing i do know tho is id love to be at parkhead when liverpool are away there when we played them in europe a few years back both sets of fans sang youll never walk alone together and it was amazing to see/hear on the telly so i can only imagine what it would of been like to be there in person!! Ive never been to glasgow but im not sure about there being no trouble mate i think alot of the dicks down here in to football violence would defo go looking for it and f**k it up for everyone! I think its a case of its not broke dont fix it! I was at that game mate, it was great watching both sets of fans belt it out. There will always be a link between Celtic and Liverpool.... you do know we sung it first right? PMSL, before you say other wise, you stole our other song, fields of Athenry.... give you 20 years you'll be claiming that too lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfgqi-UahE8

I couldnt really tell you but if yous are the best then what is it that makes yous the best? Cos FIFA told us we were............. Celtic fans are named by Fifa as the best in the world William Tinning Share 13 Dec 2003 IT'S official. Celtic fans have been declared the best in the world by football's governing body. Fifa yesterday announced that ,000 Celtic supporters who travelled to Seville for last season's Uefa Cup final had been awarded world football's Fair Play award for their ''exemplary, fair, and cordial conduct''. The award follows the equivalent accolade given last August by Uefa for the part the fans played in the team's run to the final, where they were defeated by Porto. The latest award will come as some consolation to fans of the Glasgow club, who were still licking their wounds yesterday after narrowly missing qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday. Peter Lawwell, Celtic chief executive, and Eddie Toner, general secretary of the club's supporters' association, will collect the latest award at the Fifa World Player Gala in Switzerland on Monday. Mr Lawwell said the award was a ''superb and fitting tribute to the army of Celtic supporters'' who followed their heroes to Spain last summer. He said the ,000 Celtic fans lucky enough to be in Seville created ''one of the world's greatest sporting spectacles'' and added: ''Personally speaking, it's one which will live in the memory for a lifetime.'' Mr Lawwell added: ''Together with the outstanding efforts of the team, this massive, passionate, and universally friendly support helped put Celtic on the global footballing map to a degree not seen since the European Cup win in Lisbon. ''Thanks to their exploits across Europe in recent years, Celtic's travelling supporters have now become a byword for good-natured sporting friendship and unswerving devotion to their team.'' Mr Toner also welcomed the accolade, saying: ''Celtic's supporters have a reputation in football which is unrivalled and this award, added to the Uefa Fair Play award presented earlier in the year, simply reaffirms the standing of Celtic supporters across the world.'' He added: ''I am sure all supporters will be delighted with this tremendous honour. Last season was a great adventure for Celtic supporters, culminating in a wonderful experience in Seville. ''The supporters were a credit to Celtic Football Club.'' Martin O'Neill, the Celtic manager, who yesterday welcomed his side's draw against FK Teplice, from the Czech Republic, in the third round of the Uefa Cup, also took time out to praise the fans following the Fifa award. He said: ''The Uefa Cup final last season was a fantastic occasion and the atmosphere was made all the more special by the thousands of Celtic supporters who travelled to Seville. They all richly deserve this recognition from Fifa.'' John McMillan, general secretary of Rangers Supporters' Association, was also ungrudging in recognising the honour to fans of his team's oldest rivals. He said: ''Fifa do not hand out accolades like this lightly. The Celtic fans' conduct in Seville was a great credit to themselves, to the club, and to Scotland. No-one can deny that, regardless of their allegiance.'' It also emerged yesterday that the Tartan Army were praised for their behaviour in the Netherlands despite Scotland being crushed 6-0 by the Dutch in the Euro 2004 return play-off match in Amsterdam. The Dutch Football Association and the management of Amsterdam ArenA have written to commend the fans' ''perfectly expressed'' sportsmanship.
