Hi all, is there any sea bass been pulled out yet in north wales area??

What time of year is usually best for bass in north wales?

mid march i start when the crab start showing conwy area

one i had in march

...or at least half hour in the oven with some butter and dill! :D

It's been early may round pembrokeshire before the nice sized ones turn up and those folk around cardigan should keep their eyes peeled at low tide off the footbridge over the river near the town center bit(not the big bridge on the main road) towards the end of may.Had them up to 5lb+ on a bubble floated rubber eel or a live sand eel off the footbridge,no shops for many miles that sell them live though and take a drop net as we know what happens to big fish lifted in the air :icon_redface::thumbs: .

Absolutely, I wouldn't fish if I couldn't eat most of what I catch! Nothing worse than high horse riding anglers giving lads grief for taking fish home for the pot. :no: There's no way on earth that example above would be going back in the drink if I'd have caught it! :D:good:
