Help Chamber brush

Can anyone help me i need to get a chamber brush for my Remington 700 in 223, it needs to be the bristle brush type ive looked on the net and found a company called midway uk but they are out of stock and whats best a screw on to a rod type or can you get a pull through type its for me and my shooting mate as we both have the same guns,hope someone can help thanks.

I'd stear clear of buying from midway UK directly, I looked at getting a recoil pad from them once, when you see the shipping charges you'll understand why! best to find what it is you want and ask your gunshop if they can get it in for you, I think the screw on type is better because as it's only gonna be in the chamber, you're going to want to be able to rotate it and scrub the chamber instead of pulling it right through, I'd bet that it'd alsoi get stuck in the barrel if you tried to pull it all the way up the spout!

hello mate any brush will be ok if you use it as described...if its a screw on always go from the breach to the muzzle in one movement...it has been said that doing it the other way i.e..muzzle to breach can damage the crown,i have never seen this but it is not worth the risk.

 

the other is a bore snake they are readily available for most of the popular calibres and is easer to carry in the field as it rolls up.
