fat man 4,741
TEAREM i dont think bull blood has anything to do with terriers fighting. The worst ive seen was two JR they hated each other also ive seen lakey's at it non stop, and as for bull's or bull xs having no brains that's total BULLSHIT cause they are very intelligent with a big hunting drive and unless some other dog starts on them there's no prob with them as long as they are reared the right way same as any breed. p3d 879
you dont get a bad dog you get a bad owner Have to agree with you there. I also agree with Tearem on everything written except the Bullx being stupid Some are morons but a good one is as good as any terrier. Noticed in the last couple of issues of EDRD some articles which suprised me!! First article was a guy who's wife phoned him in work crying. His terrier had escaped its cage and attacked her. The guy basically thought that the dog was good so he kept him. This guy does not have a kennel, he has a Zoo. Second article was a Terrier that followed some hounds to ground in a large place. The hounds ran from the tube "with there tails between their legs". The owner thought that this OK because the terrier "had a hatred for hounds". The MFH must be really stuck for a bolting terrierman. Both dogs in my opinion are not good breeding stock. These owners seem like intelligent people. But their articles appeal to a certain type of terrierman. (Hardman) You might have thought that these incidents were something you would keep quiet about. One off screw ups that they ensure will not happen again. Instead they publish them on an "Earthdog Magazine" for everyone to read. It would make you wonder if these dogs are just killing machines. They hate humans, dogs, farmstock, quarry,...everything? All the nature has been bred out of them. JMHO Edited February 22, 2011 by p3d Quote Link to post

JMHO a nice refreshing sensible post pity everyone involved in working terriers hadnt this way of thinking for me i always liked the quiet no fuss type of dog who know when they are at work and when they are off duty .the barking snarling gas bag standing on its back legs looking too fight all before it are usually found wanting and any decent owner should be discouraging this behavior in there dog instead of thinking its ok Quote Link to post
