blackandgreen 84
Got rats setting up home under my shed!! Set two monarch traps last night, when I checked them today the stinking things had tunnelled beneath the traps and eaten the bait from below them!! Lesson learned Quote Link to post
lamaha 7
Hello mate, Fix the traps down and place slate or ply under them to stop the traps being moved and tunneled under, then give them time to get accustomed to the trap, revenge will be yours! Quote Link to post

blackandgreen 84
I have baited my monarch trap with trouts heads from last weeks fishing trip. Plenty of rat droppings and scratching near the trap but so far no luck! Do I just need to be patient? Edited February 22, 2011 by blackandgreen Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
Put some dry dog food in your trap and see if that does the trick. Quote Link to post
TWOTWOTHREE 152
I have loads a rats on my gardens where foul shed's are.apart from shooting them Ive been catching loads With my Fenn traps as long as i leave them set in same place.when they are moved it is usually a few days before they start getting caught again.use dried dog food as mentioned above but corn mixed With a tin of tuna seems to be a killer bait for me.i have twenty traps set in box tunnels all over place and when the rats were rife at begining of winter some days 7 0r 8 would be caught over night.seem to have sorted the problem i only see the odd one or two now.trappin is fun but nothing beats shooting them With air gun i prefer that as they dont run off when it hits em. Good luck. Edited October 12, 2011 by TWOTWOTHREE Quote Link to post
