full moon

Recommended Posts

It's close to midnight ow an something evil's lurking in the dark

Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart

You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it

You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes

You're paralyzed

everybody... the zombie dance as one now

it goes to show how little some of you lads know about dog behaviour, ime not asking why they do it, as its quite a common thing especially between old breeds of dogs like saluki,s huskys etc it stems from primitive hunting behaviour, which wild dogs wolves etc use to communicate whilst out hunting singularly or in packs to communicate, with each other especially on moonlit nights,

try and give you a sencible answer pal .. if they see the moon big and bright in the night sky , its something unusualll for them ,, so they howl , daytime . /and night this may sound soft .. but it may have something to do with a change in gravitational pull ..as in the tides maybe dogs sence it .. probebly just writen aload of crap but i did try ..lol

Thats what i would have assumed

Isnt there people called lunatics. They kick off when the moon is full.

Lots of the older breeds do it, as you said, huskys ect.

I wonder if as you mentioned, it is due to the fact that before the lamp (lol) full moons were the best time for wolves to hunt at night.

your on the right lines there mate on full moon nights wild dogs wolves etc, use the moolight to range futher and wider, hunting areas, they become more vocal, either barking or howling to communicate with each other, so each knows where its other pack members, siblings or parents are or to bring the pack together, either to set off hunting or to feed upon a kill,
