When you start cast your first row onto short loop of draw cord about 12" knotted in a loop, this goes on your hook in the wall.14 meshes deep plus a selvedge top and bottom(these are added when your nets knitted and these being heavier(double thread) take the strain from the net on the top and bottom lines)90 rows will give you 10yds of net  now halve that and you have 5yds with 100% bagging which is what you need to be looking for in a good net

Chances are you wont get it finished for this season and you may do a couple more before next season  it may seem daunting to start but once you start they're very addictive and excellent bit of kit in the field

Good Luck

ok thnx but is the loop u make is tht were u start so its like a ring on a purse net but on draw cord ?

Yes just cast on to the loop as though it's a ring, when you done a good few rows take the loop of of the ring and undo the knot and draw it out of the row you cast on it  next thread this back through an already finished row further down your net tie it again and put it back on the hook and carry on and keep repeating

A word of caution DONT keep counting how many rows you've done :whistling: until you've done 3 or 4needle full of knitting

Good Luck
