an ex coursing bred retired brood bitch, big ugly red greyhound we named boots, not trustworthy around livestock, roughly 10/11yr old by the time she came to me, had to keep her chained and muzzled cos she'd jump any fence and go hunting cats around the village

 

didnt know much about hunting at the time, only took her rabbiting, she taught me the ropes when i was pretty much clueless

had to put her down after she had a bad stroke, only fault with her was her fierce independant streak that bitch wouldnt wait for anyone

We black an tan terrier didnt do much bar batter his way bout the local whins daily . Second was a whippet i spoted in local free ads at 12 while ferretin called the chap left the ferrets wi my mates picked her up and never looked back still look at piks yet and wish i could replace her

spent many a night hanging off the back of an escort van...lamp in hand..freezing.fox spotted ..pull over ..start squeeking,bye eck what i woudnt give to be back in the old days.bull saluki greyhound and a collie greyhound in the back.we had some cracking nights.

first terrier was a little russell,not out of anything special but went on to be a decent little thing

mine was jrt when i was 12 i used to sneak out rabbiting with him then one day he went into a hollw tree bottom and burried himself took 40mins to dig him out my parents went ape with me and got me a greyhound after that lol

have had terriers all my life but my first running dog was jak a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie dog 27 1/2 inch tts, looked like a pure greyhound, very keen, headstrong, turned like a double Decker bus but had the speed to get back on it and would have to lift him over everything as he would not jump, the only pic i have of him is when he was a pup with my boy
