please tell me i am not the only one with this problem.

every time i go lamping i get home feed the dogs have a wash

and straight to bed even tough i just went for a couple of runs and was home for

eleven i cant for the life of me sleep as my mind does be racing .

and having to be up at six the later it becomes the harder it gets.

was after three getting to sleep watching the four walls and work came to a

head today over lates.

some times it can happen when i dont even bring my own dogs still the same.

love lamping even the bad nights and i have had a couple this season alone

have me like this as i always enjoy it even if there is nothing in the bag.

this is something that i have to live with a long time now.

do be wrecked from lack of sleep but not really the hunting part.

not a big problem but was just wondering has anyone else had this problem after lamping :(

as they say on all good horror films "" your not alone""

i suffer insomnia anyway but like yourself i cant sleep when i get home. Tryed allsorts, beer ,cups of tea, fishing vids (they have me asleep in about 15mins normally) but all to no avail. ive found a good answer is to simple wake the wife and after she has given me a right hook to the jaw im asleep no probs :black eye:

I wait about an hour before feeding the dogs after ive been out, i sit have a cuppa watch something on the box and unwind. The way i look at it is....if i go straight to bed, like you my mind plays everything back and i just lie there getting stressed about not getting to sleep, so its better to stay up the time i would be trying to sleep unwinding enough so when i do go to bed i have a proper sleep for the fews hours i have left.

MOLL.

I'm the exact same, can't go to bed without winding down first.

I have to read something, even if it's just a few pages.

Try Sean Frain's new one, one or two sentences should do the trick.

:clapper::clapper: have that book just cant bring my self to turn the cover :D

think i will try sitting up for a while instead of rushing to bed and forcing my self to sleep :D

Interesting reading this, my trouble is that it’s not just night’s out lamping (not that i do much lamping) but its every night.

Fortunately there is a cure, copious amounts of cider :drink:

Works for me anyway!

yep i'm in there too!! have to chill out for a while....maybe even warm up...lol

It also doesn't help to think that if you can't sleep you may as well stay out all night cos by 9.30 in the morning your asleep when meant to be working!!! only done it once but a very hard day

I always have trouble getting to sleep but once im asleep thats it, nothing will wake me til it's time to get up! I should've been a hamster, i prefer staying out late and sleeping in the day, just that the boss wouldn't be too keen on that  So it's redbull to keep me going and then the same happens the next night! But after a trip out lamping, i chill out for abit, feed the dogs and the tv usually sends me to sleep. Or better still i get the other half to tire me out  :D

Are you guys lamping from vehicles ??

Try walking more !

If you're tired even when walking on a lamping trip, then you can't be fit enough! :tongue2::D
