Treat rats humanely

RATS are becoming an increasingly common sight in Liverpool. Understandably many people don’t want rats anywhere near their houses but some Liverpool residents are using, shall we say, not the most humane methods to get rid of them.

Glue traps, usually flat trays coated with adhesive, trap animals who are then subject to starvation and dehydration if not found. Some animals have been known to chew off their own limbs when attempting to escape. Poison, another alternative, affects rats' nervous systems and causes convulsions before the animals finally succumb to the effects of the toxin. So what’s the answer? Humane rodent traps allow animals to be captured without harm and they can then be released into non-populated areas. No animal deserves to die a slow, stressful death.

like ive allways said lacs etc have contacts in the media how does a privincial paper

print a letter wrote by a group based in london :hmm:

The Echo has aways sided with the Lacs GTE, it's probably one of the most biast papers in the country, remember back to its reports on the Cup?

Luckily, it's very city based and usually dosn't have the space to fit in all its propoganda but on occasion it rears its ugly head.

The Merseyside club (especially MR) waged war on it for years over its articles, with many letters going in but in my recolection only one or two were ever printed.

I agree printed to get a reaction...i dont think it will change many peoples views and in reality i think it was only a matter of time beofre one group or another put something like this up there...
