A harness on a running dog,is that a good idea :whistling:

I'm sure the dog isn't run on quarry wearing a harness. The poster allready said it was for when exercising along side a bike.

Cheers.

I used to be told by some one that harness made dogs broad chested cow hocked,He was a old en but he knew his stuff. When ever i see a pet dog wearing one i always look, and often they are.

What do you mean ?? If a dog is on a harness it will get "broad chested and cow hocked" ??

I don't like harnesses, they give no control over a dog but I'm sure it has no effect on a dogs physical development !!

Cheers.

Nice pup JPT

thank you, shes coming up two soon but shes still my pup lol

laugh.gif Have you still got the terrier I liked but it kept growling at me?laugh.gif

do i know you, i dont recognise your screen name....i have non of my old dogs, its a very long story, i two year long sotry infact...but to cut a long story short, fell out with the family and they took MY dogs (which they never liked as they pretty much antis) the police wont do f**k all despite me knowing exactly where they are (civil matter) and they are stuck in a pet home never getting walked and are in house by themselves 8-10 hours a day, i cryed and cryed for weeks on end (such a soft bugger) and couldnt just break in as couldnt risk our guns as our guns=our living at the time....which is when i got given tilly off a friend. Its sad because i miss them everyday and regularly have nightmares but on the other hand i wouldn't have tilly, she is a truley amazing dog who is bouncing about from the minute she gets up and despite being a pain in the backside at times with being a stroppy little cow she makes me smile everyday.....god i will shut up now, brings tears to my eyes even typing it

and if any arm chair hunter says anything negative about this....you can go f*ck yourself because it has been the hardest decision of my life

can you exapand as to what broad cheasted and cow hocked means? The harness is to remove the presure from her neck which was causing her to have no hair on her neck which can also over time weaken the asphagus causing it to collapse...the fact that a harness is on a dog surley cant cause deformities! can it? If so i can sharp stop her pulling as she knows comands for slow, fast, heal, left and right

Well first off i would like to comment on the fantastic quality of this harness. I wanted it for my lurcher as i excercise her running next to a push bike and it was to take the strain off her neck. I looked at ones in pet shops but just couldn't get the correct size, a design that wouldn't rub and a harness that would take the strain of her pulling me along on the bike (she can pull me at full pelt for atleast 3 miles)and this harness is truley perfect. It is finished perfectly and I would like to thank Mr strong stuff (not sure if you use your name on here lol) very much indeed....Tilly loves it after initially trying to pull it off lol, think i may have to have a collar as she pulls like hell when she sees anything so her leather one will no doubt snap eventually.

heres a pics, just started her training so she hasn't got much muscle....yet!
