johnnyboy28 1 Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 (edited) Just an update I have taken her out with an experienced 3/4 grey X 1/4 beddy bitch 3 yr old she is now chasing and getting very close and she seems to be seeing rabbits from very far away Just goes to show all she needed was to be shown by another dog i really think this weekend i will slip her on her own because the older dog is beating her to the rabbit each time i will post a few pics on here in the next couple of days so you can see what a nice pair of dogs they are thanks for your feedback Edited March 12, 2007 by johnnyboy28 Quote Link to post

I agree with you to a certain extent, about not about lettinga 'not 8 month pup out'.....its good to have them out in controlled sessions and good do should be showing a bit of interest at 8 months.........................no one wants to spend time on a cabbage............ Some do switch on quicker than others...........but to hear that another memebr has the same problem from the same litter does sounds suss to me................. whin 463 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 one of my old collie line first time i took him out he pawd netted rabbits then the second time he caught a few young ones then he caught a few bigger rabbits by the time he was 10 months he was fine and by the time his first winter he caught sevral rabbs hares roe and a fox , it was in him as he would kill his self to catch a cat ,i asked the guy with the father m chapman ,he says old bob was the same ,he was the spittting image nature wise of his father a bit more leggy, find a bit more of your dogs history, ive had mines for years and know whats what all the best Quote Link to post
