TOM TERRIER 173
Yeah, its free round here though! Think Butchers have to pay to get rid of it anyway? I feed a mix of raw meat, tinned meat and a complete dry food. Quote Link to post

moonlighter 1,163
I don't leave food down for my pup. That way he learnt to eat all his food straight away as the bowl would be taken away after 20 mins. It makes them better eaters in the long run. 1 Quote Link to post

scalesntails 118
Get nearly all my dog food from the butchers although mine is a bit more expensive. I also get a few bits from tesco/asda etc when we do the family shop. As for feeding pups I have always let them eat as much as they can in 10 minutes twice a day until they are 6-7 months old. I will cut this back if they look a bit chubby though. Probably wrong but its always worked for me. Quote Link to post

Butchers offcuts, bones, meat, almost out of date sausages. Basically everything he throws out. Downside is i have to go through it and get rid of the fat, skin, trotters, heads etc etc. Upside is its free and the best grub a dog can get. I make sure they get olive oil, blended up veg and a handfull of garlic granules as well to balance the diet out. Quote Link to post
Cold Ethyl 63
Im Lucky the local butcher gives me stuff here and there a few times a week free.I buy a lot of meat for me and the kids of him and he gives me chicken carcuss and lamb spines etc even a pigs head a few times lol.He got me a few calfs and never took a penny just asked me to stick a few pennies in the charity tin for a kids charity fair enough. He always keeps me raw bones with a fair wack of meat on and mine thrive terrier disappears with hers into a crate and dont see her till shes finished the big uns demolish it in seconds usually.
