If your self employed and can provide evidence that you need an FAC to carry out your work, I am reliably told that you do not need to have land to register your FAC on as you can prove "good reason" bit like a terrier man with a HD pistol (in the old hunting world before the ban). If you work for a big company, then other than providing supporting evidence that you have _some_ knowledge of pests, it's not going to sway any FEO because you simply don't need an FAC to do the work. Many of us use them for pest control and the like, but as a hobby. So we "need" them in the same way that someone who knits "needs" their needles. Now if the requirement was a "need" then most of us would lose our FAC's. We have good reason to hold, for sure, but we don't actually have "need". Quote Link to post
