about the end for me

me and my lad were up at a local farm this morning,we had a few but it was hard going,one more ferreting trip will do me ,then two weeks snaring and the seasons over .

Not be too long before we all stop might get a few weeks if we're lucky been today and it was graft, lots of 4 and 5 foot digs to just singles. I suppose it keeps us fit and in a good light with the farmers and keepers though. We managed 42 today even with all the digs, so in 2 days on this hedgerow/dyke we have took over 100, not a bad average but it is stuffed around here.

Same here.

 

Last weekend we had to use the hobs as they wouldnt shift for the jill and she is no sticker.

 

Fair bit of digging involved but fortunatley shallow.

42! Wish we were getting numbers like that still, havent had numbers like that for 2 yrs or more, sinse the mixi and harsh winters.

Went to the seaside for these yesterday. Most were bucks sat alone in small setts, luckily unlike last week.

Could do with a couple more trips for my pups education. 42 would have me singing and dancing!

Out today with BUD off here, together with 4 Gills and the lurcher, had 16 good healthy rabbits, a good day and we didnt have any digs at all

Lucky you, its this hedgerow for some reason they dont bolt, 1 rabbit yes, but dug to avoid a long wait and wasted time.

We dont like to leave meat behind.
