supersam 64
good stuff and some great finds iv seen some farm coliie,s hunt up and catch daytime rabbits from there seats, also seem em catch rabbits on the lamp.tinkif i was to go for such a cross then a farmyard collie is the way to go.after all there around the countyside all there lives and sometimes as they may be a bit forgotten at times they catch there own grub. well done again i remember a good few years ago finishing off a top out of a newly built farm house. as i was working i noticed the farmers collie scenting around the field like a good un. i kept watching and it rose a bunny from its seat(this was the summer time) it coursed it around the field keeping tight on the turns like a whippet and crashed in full tilt to the cover just behind the rabbit and caught it there!!! that memory will always be in my mind as i didnt think while in work i would get to see a bit of hunting and catching!!! it does make sence for me that a farmyard collie will be around the county scents and chasing rabbits and therefore a hunting dog to others as sometimes the farmer leaves its collie to fend for itself which can make them all the more hunters. good choice for a collie cross lad as thats what i would go for Quote Link to post

Bryn is fast, good feet+coat, so prob just try bit more wind from the x, for big rabbits. Bryn as found quite few, when mooching about like a proper old type of lurcher does So with his drive, brain+nose and that extra bit of wind in the pups, you would have some Brill lurcher pups. couple here + rabbits Quote Link to post
