Richie10 345
http://www.deerstalker.com/park_trophy_gallery.htm Shooting deer in a park for alot of money. Why do it yourself when you let other people pay to do it. I don't know about you but pre ban I would have never of thought to run captive animals. Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
There is somewhere in Kent with a population of barisingha. They charge , up to 5,000 trophy fees for stalkers. I had never heard of them until I came across the website, advertising it. Very interesting thread guys, G Hi Mate, those deer won't be wild i shouldnt think. There are lots of various 'exotics' in the UK that you can shoot, but in the main they are all enclosed. But i will stand corrected. Quote Link to post
Gos 4
Its not to do with hanging or bleeding, the thought behind it is that the adrenalin makes the meat go soft and wobbly like jelly, not sure of the technical term. That's why they try and keep stock calm at an abbatoir. However, from past experience I would say that this is bull as nothings going to have more adrenalin coursing through it than a deer with a lurcher up its arse. Quote Link to post

J Darcy 5,871
100% independant in the wild What country are you in matey? uk Hi Darklord. If these Reindeer are the ones in Cornwall then they are not really wild, more like 'tame' deer that have some liberty. Sure, they have access to open ground, but I understand they are artificially fed and bedded. And i am willing to bet that they are 'enclosed' in so much as they could not up sticks and walk away like a 'wild' mammal can. Ergo, they aint wild. Its a bit like me letting go a couple of Rhino's on my friends farm. They would be at liberty, but they wouldnt be wild..... I look forward to your reply as i do take a great deal of interest in everything revolving around deer. Cheers JD Quote Link to post
