goats galore

Recommended Posts

for those who havent tried goat meat... tastes just like lamb but more tender! sickened myself eating it all the time this winter.

you have to remember to only eat nannys under 2yrs (under 18mths preferably) or puck (male) kids under 5mths

after that they get awful bitter tasting.

its a leaner carcass than lamb, hard to skin but well worth the effort

I took some saddle from the freezer from an immature female yesterday and to be honest theres more flesh on my fiveskin :icon_eek: I cut what I could off of it and am going to pan fry it tommorow.I must remember to ask their ages before i shoot them next time carrigs  Have you shot a few in yer time by any chance?I spoted what I thought (and still think)was a very young nanny but it was preggers for certain.Theyre droping kids all over the place at the moment.

P K,I can at any point do that, but I think shooting a tiny kid is very distastefull, now shooting a medium to decent sized kid, well thats a different matter.I have the farmers very happy and in the next few weeks I'll get into them again big time.Carrigs its hard when your cross eyed  answer the question, have YOU shot a few in yer time, lol.
