readie 184
i wouldnt breed my husky bitches the second time within 2 years of a first litter, most times they have 1 litter then thats there breeding ended and they stay with us for good.
CarraghsGem 92
had it happen once with a bitch 4mths after whelping, to say it caught me off guard is an understatement! edited to add; didnt breed her, wouldnt breed a litter that close to the last one, not unless i had a very very good reason for it. Would what be too much for her?

A twice yearly in season bitch should come into season 4months after a litter, yours has come in a little early as some do, what do you mean would it be too much??? surely you are not thinking of breeding the bitch again that soon??????????? fresh earth 47
Seen many bitchs like this also had a couple of dogs that were in heat every 3 months or so. The last thing id even consider the thought of is covering the bitch !!
Cold Ethyl 63
Give her a break ffs shes only just had pups and reared them it can take up to a year for everything to settle back to the normal. So i would say not a good idea at all and really cruel actually. fresh earth 47
I didnt think he was planning on covering her himself haha but ya never know i suppose we say im having the bitch covered or im covering the bitch up here maybe picked me up wrong. Either way ill have left prity much 2 year between my bitchs last litter which was her first and her next one that will be her last and iv had 3 or 4 boys waiting since she was last on heat but i decided id rather get the seasons work out her than the litter at the time just cause a couple people wanted pups wasnt enough for me i breed mine when im ready and certainly not with a couple months between litters . shina 17
thanks for the replys everyone i was offerd the lurcher as she has a broken toe as a brood bitch wasent thinking of breeding her so soon after her litter just making shore that if she did come into season or not would she catch as for puppy breeder your talking crap never have i bred a dog and sold the pups on this or any site all the best shina
fresh earth 47
A broken toe is a simple injury have the toe of and the dog will still run the same i know a few lads who have handy bullxs with toe's missing also plenty decent greyhounds still going with a toe of so the bitch deserves a bit more than just kennel space as a brood bitch. If the bitch is in season she can and will be coverable whether there was 6 months or 6 weeks between her seasons .
Cold Ethyl 63
If your unsure best advice to give is get her the hormone jab that way she or your males if you choose to do them instead cannot be caught.Personally a toe will heal and if not then have it off and she will run just fine as stated above.Either that or keep her indoors and the rest outside. Also a pair of kids shorts helps protect her honour when you walk her
