don't be an smart ass you stupid feck. I am just trying to generate some none negative posting that could help people with there hunting. A while back there were good informative threads now there is just shite about every body elses dogs. Don't be a dink just post a picture of your shovel and tell why it is different and what you like about it. then we will move on to things like filling holes proper and then marking holes and entering dogs. stuff that is usefull.

a mag light is handy, grafter, sand shovel, and a good spade, i had one cut down to a bout 2ft long sorry cant put pics up,couplings are better than loop over leads as some terriers get a bit wound up at the dig as for back filling holes i was gutted yesterday there is,or should i say was a good one holer for starting off your pups, it has been left right open, some cock head had a quick dig and more or less just left it , couldnt be bothered to go to hedge and get some back fill, i can just hear the cockhead in the bar. rant over, i will go and back fill at the weekend,

Best thing to do go out with experienced terrrier lads and see what they use.IMO A good locator is a start.

alright for you guys that are a little slow and missed the point I am trying to spark a use full thread on the gear each uses for digging. Digging is not banned were I live and I was just tring to get some positive topics that are good to read. And honestly wich of you guys would take a stranger out. every body likes different things. You guys can sit and cry about who shows dogs and who does not or if someone is a poser or not but I do not see much productive stuff on here any more this site is for hunters too discuss hunting methods, gear and working dogs.

Since the ban, we have to travel light...in case of an emergency exit. ;),First list is spot on. We also carry a dog coat, a polartec one, handy after a long dig if the dog is exhausted and can help prevent shock.

all i would take is a grafter spade a round mouth spade a hand light of some kind ,plus nets and a small axe ,plus some way of tieing up the dog ..in the motor you will need some water and a terrier box ..dont for get your terrier coller and box or if your posh a bellman and flint :D i would put more tools in the motor for digging if i thought i needed them ..apart from all that travel as light as you can ;)
