infra red perspex

has anyone used infra red perspex on a lightforce lancer,if so is it any good or a waste of money and how far can you see with it cheers.

i think you need nv to see it ,but im sure same one will put me right .

i have a night vision scope just wondered if it lets any light through the filter when lamp is on cheers.

If the perspex is a true infra red filter no visible light will show through, so the light will only be viewable through night vision equipment.

as you probally know you can for a LOT of money buy a dedicated IR lense for a lightforce lamp. when used with a NV unit you can see as though your lamping. A few mate's use a NON LED longe range touch or lamp and cover with IR Perspex job done Animals cannot see nothing. Also a Maglight C-CELL Tourch with a IR Lense at 20ft you cannot see the light but again with NV you can see 250yrds+. If you know where there is some cheap IR Lense let us know please mate cheers
