For those who have PM'd me, thank you!

Please keep a good look out for me - I am always interested in hearing about any that you might find rusting away at the back of grand-dad's shed, or hanging from the rafters of the old barn down the road etc.

Thanks again :victory:

:icon_eek: FFS, Ducker! As you obviously have an idea of what people presently call that " Sellafield " Trap looks like, I'm guessing ye also have a clue as to their current Known Market Value? I.e Only one ever known to me as sold on the open market / eBay took a Grand Sterling!

Now, as this is a trap I'll be mentioning in my book, I'd very much appreciate a shot of one, so I can personally substantiate the exact traps ye have there. I'd also like to know exactly how many of them ye have. Snippets such as this are vitally important to the written history we're creating.

Feel free to slap this information up here or PM me, your choice. Only I would publicly assure ye that I'll not be sniffing round for one. No way on gods earth can I afford their established price tag! Information is all I require :good:

If ye want to sell them? eBay and no 'Buy It Now' offers. However, unless you're strapped, I'd strongly suggest ye put them away for now ;)

Thanks to all who have PM'd me so far with offers of traps and information regarding finding a few for my collection, it is much appreciated.

DW - as Ditch quite rightly said, those Sellafield traps are worth their weight in gold. Never turn any worthwhile old traps down as they will be appreciated by someone, for use or to start off a newbie collector somewhere.

Thanks again

Heres a pic of the fenn mk3 that i found, as you can see its next to a mk6 for a comparrison in size. it has stamped on the trigger plate Fenn mk3 so there is no disputing the makers of origin.

The terthering chain is differant to any i have seen on any fenn, its pressed oblong rather than round link. this is the only mk 3 ive seen so i couldnt say if this is the norm on a mk3.
