Mink exterminators

I am looking for a terrier that excel's in the work of mink .. It will also be used for rats and rabbits but not fox. Does anyone know what type of dog would suit this game best? Thanks, Beddy-Poacher.

Hunting mink with terriers is illegal mate, so i wouldn't post it on an open forum......Seen various breeds kill mink, Russells, Patterdales etc.....

I think a trip to London is on the cards what's the diference between a mink and a rat , what have we done since this new goverment came in who promised change zilch nada sweet fa . They need to know we are still here this spring I think it's time to mobilise the troops or the hunting bill will sit on the back burner

look at the students and just one march is not enough we need marches and we need to go to the greens animals in tow and get this sorted we are responsible or nothing will happen me included , it's been to long and to unworkable I mean FFS

At least let's have a workable act without fear of going out , there will allways be wronguns Involved in whatever goes on , so what if your dog takes the odd hare whilst your out what's wrong with that , are fisherman can't even catch blinking fish anymore , so what if your dog takes a fox by accident whillst your out and a mink I mean come on , how many people are to worried about going for fear of prosicution or animals being taken , if we had a workable act it would save thousands on police because we wouldn't need policeing we would be able to police ourselfs , it's time for change as far as I see it, if yo. Mink can be hunted legally with terriers in Scotland as long as the intention is to shoot the mink at first safe opporchancity and you have permission and a Firearm or shotgun must be present.We use a couple of Russells and a .410, keeps us and the terriers fit in the summer. ive never seen a terrier that wont hunt and kill mink. get a terrier from working stock i'd seriously consider a big leggy plummer. but a border or beddy would do a good job for you. as would the standard workin breeds. good luck
