RABBIT CONTROL!!!!

Hi every one

I had half a day Friday, and what better way to spend the next 16 hrs was to pick Si up on his last couple of days in the UK and meet up with Andy and take our VIP for a last treat!! Which were a zero session and some rabbit control

Once all rifles were zeroed & calibrated, we done a bit of plinking!!

Out to 65mts and had some fun!! With all of us hitting the 65 down to 10mts targets, but must add I was the only one to hit the 65mts three times in concession . :tongue2:

Also with some impressive shooting, from both my apprentices :whistling:

Sorry no pictures “secret location” :whistling:

Once we were happy with our zero, we head off out to Andy’s permission in Wiltshire.

Only five minutes down the road, from his house. Once we got there we got are air rifles set up

Si using a HW100 .177 with scope & lamp & falcon accuracy pellets 7.33gr

Andy using an AAS410 super lite .177 & night vision scope & falcon accuracy pellets 7.33gr

And me using an AAS410K .22 & night vision scope & Air Arms field plus 18gr

So Si (VIP) in the front passenger seat lamping on the left, Andy driving and using the night vision set up, I was stuffed in the back lol on the right using my NV set up. The reason Andy and I was on the same side, was so Si’s lamp didn’t interfere with our NV units. And it worked well!!

And we set of on rabbit control; it didn’t take us long till I here I think one comment was as follows

“We have only been here, five minutes and five already” in the bag for sure! :gunsmilie:

The next couple of hours went quiet, and then Andy took us over to another permission which he hasn’t shot for ages! Then the frenzy began!! :icon_eek::blink:

Far too many, to talk you through them all.

And here is where some fell

Another fallen!!

And I think both Andy & Si will agree with me (although they did not witness it)

That this was the shot of the evening! This fell to me!

A paced out shot of 51paces :gunsmilie:

Where it fell

Just look how close it was, from its hole

IMG_0258.jpg

Close up, shot placement could have been higher here, and should of given more hold over. But when looked at after it was picked up.The pellet had travelled up and out through its brain

And here is a group photo of the fallen, and its predator’s

OH!! And thanks to Adele for the tea and grub!!

Happy hunting
