RaiderBoy 19
I quite like it where i am now, in Cwmaman My house is surrounded by mountains and countryside and being this close to brecon but not close enough to have tourists means that i often have the place to myself its a good place to live but god awfull for shooting and fishing, i find myself travelling and hour or more away just for a decend weekends carp fishing and ive still failed to find any decent shooting permission The only other place ive ever spent any real time is deal in kent, i used to stay with relatives as a kid and i loved it, its got an awesome carp fishery not 2 mins away and a cracking pier on the sea front and surrounded by farmland, pretty much perfect for the shooter/fisher. Bosun11 537
I'm lucky enough to have travelled most of the UK, many years ago I used to love simply jumping in my old an battered car and heading out to just simply follow roads wherever they may take me. I had time on my hands back then and would park up and sleep in the motor. Loved it, seen so many beautiful places, this country is so rich in its geographical diversity with both stunning scenery and lovely towns and citys, interesting and facinating, we are very lucky. As for the original question, for me, well I love it right here, in and around Liverpool, it has everything for me. A buzzing and vibrant city, steeped with history. A beautiful coastline and countryside that I 'served my time' in and now live. I also have a soft spot for the Lakes, its simply stunning and for a scouse kid 'armed' with a first edition of the Fell Terrier book, way back in the early 's it was mecca. Now its easy to knock the Lakes, a total tourist trap, nuts in summer, with thousands tramping round towns like Ambleside, dressed for the 'high fell', most never see 'em, simply drifting from one outdoor shop to another, stopping for a bag of fudge between shops BUT spend a little time there, out of season and then wander out, especially before the sun breaks, either round a village or head up a fell, because thats when you see it, all those ghosts, all that history, in the shadows. It works for just about anywhere too, if your looking for 'somewhere' and your there but can't see it, change your time and all will become obvious.

Caravan Monster 323
I'd like to see more of north east england - northumberland / scottish borders area, never been there. Not too far from me..... http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4598 Supposedly a good site. The patrons come into my local and they all seem to come back every year. Not too far from the borders either Cheers Moll! (don't actually have a caravan anymore )but getting tempted to hit the road for a week or so and kip in the van. It's good to see some moor and coastland and not too many people around every once in a while.

Boysie 12
Lake District around Keswick area. As said earlier, much better 'out of season'. Me and the girlfriend stayed in a B&B for my birthday end of last year, was lush waking up and looking out over the fields and hills covered in fog, crisp winter morning. We often visit Kirkcudbright / Dumfriesshire and further up the west coast of Scotland. Spent a week by Loch Eck a few years ago, area is amazing. Looking at booking somewhere further north for this January, hopefully it'll snow again and we'll end up being stuck in a little log cabin for a few extra weeks

Know Anderby creek very well stig and dont forget the nudist beach at theddlethorpe.. Theddlethorpe is also a popular male "meeting" place, remember years ago sitting on the dunes to have a sarnie, the R.A.F were detonating bombs on the beach, as the first explosion a dozen male heads popped up from the dunes, i hastily retreated to the van........and nipped to boots for some KY
