raymac 0 Posted February 12, 2011 Report Share Posted February 12, 2011 Hi All Just a quick update with my start in the world of air rifles lol :icon_redface: my first buy was the air arms s400 c right handed then finding out that i need a left handed rifle :icon_redface: i tried to get a swap no takers so i tried my local gun shop again no luck but under the current financal climet not suprised and the next phone call to another gun shop sucsess was as to take the rifle along and have a chat i took the hr drive from Dover to Welling to John Forsey Gun Shop and meet up with Phil Jackson i told him my problem and after taking the time to show me some of the many things on offer and putting me right on a good few things i did not know we decided on a BSA Ultra Multi Shot and sorted out the details and the deal was made, the man and the other staff in the shop were a plesure to speek to and the advice fantastic cant praise them enough . :notworthy: did not belive what some people say about you will know the right rifle when you hold it but i do now sorry have gone on a bit but know i will be busting a gut to get my first permission so i can use it now. andyfr1968 772 Posted February 12, 2011 Report Share Posted February 12, 2011 Nice one, Ray That's the thing about guns, it's all well and good folks saying one gun's better than the next but it's a very personal thing and if it doesn't 'feel' right, it's very hard to gell with that particular gun and you'll never get the best from it. raymac 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Author Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 :thumbs: :thumbs: At Last :thumbs: :thumbs: I went for a look around for some were to start setting up the BSA ULTRA scopes ,and every thing, any way was out and came across a man doing some work on his gates to what appeared to be an old yard , any way while talking to him and giving him a hand lifting his new gate on i ask if he knew of some where i could set up my rifle he said yes come with me any we walked into his yard that then opened out onto some paddocks and a little bit of scrub land and a small wooded area he said help your self shoot what you can your doing me a faviour, and he also said he would see if he could get me some permission from the land owners around him Result, keep me fingers crossed Ray Quote Link to post
