luke. 9
I use spade connectors, these are cheaper and do the trick, never let me down Quote Link to post
graham4877 1,181
Tape it up works for me! could hard wire it but if you do that you'll have to get an inline fuse fitted in!! Quote Link to post
jacksbignose 8
Use musician's microphone XLR male to female connectors; cheap to buy, wire/solder and connect/disconnect! Quote Link to post
leeroy 29
Use musician's microphone XLR male to female connectors; cheap to buy, wire/solder and connect/disconnect! I find the ones from Deben work well not cheep but work well , I put one on the charger as well makes life easer. I think that lightforce have a lot of probs with the wireing because of the cig plug bad conection over heating the wireing. Quote Link to post
artic 595
All this re wiring, how would you re wire a striker to a Lithium battery? I've not read any problems with them, so I take it it's just the old sealed lead acid batteries? Quote Link to post

DogMagic 461
The cigar lighter plug on my blitz often comes a little loose so the light winks out until the plug is pushed fully home again. I can't believe I'm the only person this happens to. What do people do? tape it in? remove it altogether? replace it with a jack plug? Surely there's something that works. It drives me mad and the weight of the coiled cable means it keeps on happening. your right mate, your not the only one this happens too, the wiring on lightforce lamps are crap loads of people have had problems with them. i got the sparky at work to connect the wire inside the handle straight to the battery so there is no cig lighter ,coiled cable or dodgy connections to wory about. i bought a battery charger with crocodile clips for £15 Spot on. I have a lazerlight but my set up is cut off the fag lighter and those stupid bullet connecters, get a 1 metre lenght of wire from hardware store and connect it straight to the lamp cable using terminal block. I have an inline fuse i cut off a deben set up years ago. I use a gell sealed 10 amp motorbike battery. And as above a charger from local motorbike shop cost £15. Never had a problem.
