lampingboy 231
Hi lads, decided to go for some target practice this afternoon since it was lovely and sunny,i also recieved my pair of jack pyke fold back finger shooting gloves so wanted to give them a try. i set out about 4:40pm,would have liked to have left earlyer but was bust stripping scaffolding with my dad lol . anyways i got to the field where i practice and set out 3 targets, one at my zero range 25meters the second at 40meters and the third at around 55meters . my first grouping wasnt the best tbh and im not sure why but im going to re-zero at x6 mag soon instead of the x9 im using now. As you can probably see it was shooting to the right so i gave the windage turret 2 clicks to the left. that was around 30 shots through that 25meter taget so obviously room for improvement. Then i went onto the 40 meter target i put the luminous sticker on there for easyer spotting although they usually get hit off there lol. Still not avery good group ,this was still using x9 mag and 2 mildots hold over. then the last one,55meters using 4 milots hold over i only had one shot that i was happy with on this, although i really cant think why the others were so far out since i was prone shooting off my bag maybe just alot more practice needed. Also i gave my new gloves a try ,they are great gloves, nice and warm and the foldback finger is a really good design. The only criticism i have is i think personally i would prefer the thumb to also fold back as this would make reloading an easyer task. Heres some pics of the kit i carry, some people travel light, and then theres me lmao. I dont carry all this when lamping or hunting but i like to bring it when im target shooting as its always handy . Here some pics of the land where i practice and the posistion i was shooting from, hope you enjoyed, ATB Brad. 1 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Nice write up Brad, will put my next trip to the range up as well, I am going to be zeroing the Stingray and 60S, the wife will be working on her 60S and her Diana (but I will have to reload that for her, the Carbine barrel is too short for her to get leverage on to cock it with her broken wrist. Will photo the range and our groups, let you all know how we get on! Quote Link to post
